Opus 38 (1999)

Description

“OPUS 38 was born from my interest in four diverse pieces of music. I’ve attempted to use the music sections as colors might be used to spark one another. In each section, I assigned myself a specific set of limitations to work within as a guide for arriving at the smaller ‘dance,’ always mindful of the larger one. The device/limitation in section II will be quite obvious while others are not. The title of the dance is the name of a favorite sandwich of mine. My dance and the sandwich are made up of a few tasty parts.” -Renee Wadleigh
