Dancer
Kelly Kosiek was born in Chicago where she began her early dance training. Furthering her training, Kelly attended Point Park University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She has trained at summer intensives including those by Inaside Chicago Dance, Dancewerks, and LINK by SALT. Her performance experiences include works by Jessica Lang, Rennie Harris, Daniel Herman, Noelle Kayser, Natasha Adorlee, Rigo Saura, Paula Sousa, and Sarita Smith Childs. Her experiences have led her to perform on stage, in film work, and site-specific work throughout the United States and on an international level. Kelly was part of Hedwig’s 40th anniversary tour to Germany in connection with The Bauhaus as the institution also celebrated their 100th anniversary. During this time she had the honor to perform work by Jan Bartoszek. Kelly was gifted the opportunity perform the first solo Jan created during Hedwig’s 40th anniversary gala at the Museum of Contemporary Art where Jan and Kelly danced together. Kelly also really values freelance work, the freelance community and collective creative energy she has had the joy to participate in. In addition to performing, Kelly has choreographed work during her time at Point Park University and around the Chicagoland area. She has been a member of Hedwig Dances since 2023.
